WordPress Malware Removal is easier in version 6

Last week we have released version 6 of Centrora Security. The main change of this version is that we re-categorize all tools into 5 groups and add some great features to speed up the malware removal for your WordPress websites. We added these features because we think of our customers, whose websites have been hacked, and need assistance on it. We know that you need to recover your website quickly, so speed is important. If cleanig a website only needs you 2 hours time, why do we need to spend 12 hours to complete a scan?

We have made a huge improvements of the malware scanner where in version 5, scanning 30000 files it will take you aroun d1.5 hours to complete the scanning, but in version 6, this only takes you around 34 minutes to complete the scanning. We also perform a random scanning with our virus scanner and the GOTMLS plugin from WordPress, it is very excited to see that we ran faster and scan more malware in a more accurate manner for malware removal, though GOTMLS does a good job in malware scanning and removal too (credits to GOTMLS team)!

See the two screenshots here for the perfomance. We will perform a more strict and standard tests later on to provide more insights on how we can help users whose websites are hacked, this one is just my random scan to see how good our malware scanner is working.

WordPress Malware Removal with Core File Scanner

Apart from that, we added a new Core Directory Scanner into this new version. It will scan all core WordPress files and dircotries, e.g. /wp-content, /wp-include, /wp-admin etc, and all default WordPress files. It compares all files with the original WordPress default files in order to find out any suspicious files and modified files in the website. This function helps us a lot for searching malicious files in a WordPress website hence helps speed up the wordpress malware removal process.

We will keep improving the software to help all web administrators and website owners to scan and remove malware at the fastest speed and at the more accurate detection rate to help you recover your clients’ websites quicker. Leave the hardest part to us.
